We started the month by taking a trip to the mountains. We enjoyed some quiet time up there and relaxed a bit. The kids enjoyed the park. We went on a picnic one day and even did some campaigning for Mitt Romney.
We celebrated little Helen's first birthday up at San Jose's.
I made her a cake for the occassion.
Eli got his cast off and was able to wear a brace for a few weeks.
We had our first Daddy/Daughter dance at the schoo. I was in charge of the event and it was a great success! We had lots of participation and all of the girls seemed to have fun. Katie and Logan enjoyed dancing with their dads.
Laura Lynn celebrated her 3rd birthday. I went over to her class for them to sing to her and eat her cupcakes. She was playing dress up and kept her clothes on for the song. This is Mrs. Brewer, one of her teachers.
That afternoon, she and I went and built her first bear from Build-A-Bear. We rode the carousel and enjoyed our afternoon together. She named her bear, Doodlebug.
Sunday before church we had to take some pictures of her and Doodlebug.
We also had to have an official birthday cake to take to Grandma's for supper. She wanted a flower cake.
I went on a field trip with Eli to the SC State House. I hadn't been there since I was in 3rd grade and I learned alot about our capitol building.
Right before Thanksgiving, we had Grits for Grandparents at the school. Daddy cooked all of the grits for the event. They were yummy!
Katie and Ginny helped to prepare some of the Thanksgiving feast.
