Sundays at Grandma and Papa's

We had a busy weekend. On Friday, Heather went with the kids and me to get our pictures taken. I will post those later when I have access to them online. We went to JC Penney. They did a really good job. Eli was a little shy at first, but he later warmed up to the camera. I even got in one of the pictures. After we were finished getting pictures taken, we went to Target and then headed home. We enjoyed a quiet evening at home.

On Saturday, we went to part of Wyatt's baseball game. Then, Eli went over and hung out with Papa and Will while Katie and I went to a baby shower. We had a good time playing little baby games. I was impressed with how quick I was able to answer some of the riddles. I enjoyed challenging my mind. :) After the shower I went to pick up Eli and right before I left my parents' I noticed someone walking down the driveway. It was my friend, Holly. I haven't seen her in a little over 2 years. She's in the military and is on leave and came to visit. It was a big surprise. We visited for a few minutes, but she promised she would come to church with us the next day and come over for Sunday dinner.

Sunday, we went to church and then came home and made and decorated a belated birthday cake for Grandma. It was a carrot cake. I pulled my back at church when I was picking up Katie's car seat, so I was being extra careful moving around.
Believe it or not, Eli actually kept his tie on the whole day at church. When I put it on this morning, I had to keep begging him not to take it off, so he actually listened. He also has gotten to where he loves having me take his picture, as long as I can show him the picture on the camera. He even poses pretty sometimes as you can see.

We went on over to Grandma and Papa's to help with supper. After supper, we all headed outside for the kids to play. Aubrey made a small fire for the kids to roast marshmallows over. At one point Eli took the bag of marshmallows and dumped several out. He sat there and stuffed them in his mouth as quick as he could. I kept telling him to stop and not eat them off the ground, but as you can tell, he didn't listen very well.

My friend Holly had this cool hair piece and Hannah kept begging to wear it, so Holly put it in Hannah's hair and she had a ball with it. She played outside, swinging on the swing so it would hang down. We teased her and told her she must have eaten hair fertilizer for her hair to grow so fast.
