Planting "Bean Stalks"

We had a great weekend and a great Monday! I put Katie on the floor and she had a ball. She played for a good hour and then finally started getting a little agitated. I picked her up and she immediately fell asleep and took a great 3 hour nap. While Katie was napping, we had "school" and discussed farms. Eli put puzzles together where he had to match the baby animal to the mama animal. He loves to talk about farms so we spend a lot of time reading books about animals and making lots of animal sounds.
Eli's favorite story is "Jack and the Beanstalk." He could listen to it told over and over and over. He climbs on the back of the couch and says he is climbing the beanstalk. He talks about the giant and the castle. So, the other day when we went to Home Depot to visit Jamie, we bought some beans to plant beanstalks. Since it rained on Saturday, we had to wait to plant them. Jamie worked late tonight so we went over to Grandma and Papa's and planted "Bean Stalks." Eli planted up to 6 or 7 beans in each container, so we'll see how many actually grow. After Eli finished his planting, I repotted Jamie's tomatoe plants and Eli decided to ride Papa's tractor. We sure do love warm, nice weather.
