Wow! What a beautiful Easter weekend! We really had a great time together with our family. Saturday, while Jamie was at work and Katie was napping, Eli and I decorated his eggs. Eli's favorite color to dye was blue. I think he would have dyed all 12 blue, but we did a few other colors also. We had a "bug" decorating kit. He enjoyed putting the stickers on them.
On Sunday we headed to Barnwell to visit family after church. It was a perfect day. I don't know that the weather could have been nicer. The kids loved playing outside and "hiding" eggs. Eli thought that by just throwing the eggs out on the lawn that he was hiding them. They also enjoyed a game of "tickling feet" with Nana and Paba's neighbor, Brantley. She must be about 11 or 12 but I think Eli has taken a liking to her. He loved chasing her and tickling her "tinkey feet."

Katie especially looked cute in her Easter dress and Easter bonnet. She is such a good little baby. She just goes with the flow. While we had a wonderful Easter lunch, she just rolled around on the floor and played with everything her hands could reach. She's trying so hard to crawl. She's getting better and better with getting up on her knees. I don't think it will be long until she is crawling everywhere.
We got some bunnies for Easter. I had been wanting to get Eli a bunny but waited too late to get one and couldn't find any close by. So, Saturday night we got a call from Bill. He and his family were headed home from a birthday party where Hannah had won a drawing and got to take home 2 sandy colored bunnies. Bill said that Eli could have them, so....

we took them. I told Eli that we should name one Sandy because of their color. I asked him what we should name the other and he said, "Spongebob." I guess when I said Sandy he thought I meant Sandy Cheeks from Spongebob and so he decided that Spongebob and Sandy belong together. I've tried to convince him to change its name, but I think we're stuck with Sandy and Spongebob. Of course, I have no idea if we have 2 boys, 2 girls, or one of each. Hopefully someone can tell me what they are before it is too late. They are very cute, though and I think Eli will learn how to take care of them.
Monday, Jamie had a day off from Home Depot and he and Eli decided to wash the truck.

Eli kept going close enough for Jamie to spray him with the hose. Eventually, Eli had to strip down since he was wet. He also pushed his red car over for a washing. We had a great day outdoors with the bunnies and even got to grill last night. Jamie prepared the best skewered pork, pineapple, green and yellow peppers, and plantain on the grill. He had marinated it in some kind of Carribean sauce. It was DELICIOUS! I told him I'm gonna let him cook more often if he keeps it up. : )
