Olivia's Night with the Benson's

My niece, Olivia turned 12 this past week.  Our birthday present to her was a night at our house and she and Katie had a painting class that they would be attending.  So, Jamie went and met Missy in Columbia Friday afternoon and picked Olivia up.  They visited with Aunt Mary and bought some churros and headed to our house.  We were all so excited to have her stay with us.
Eli was watching Harry Potter movies so they all watched a movie in his room and had their supper on a picnic blanket in his floor.  After supper, we went swimming for a little while.  After swimming we put some ice cream on to churn.  While it was churning, the girls played with some edible play dough.  (Icing and powdered sugar)  When the ice cream was ready, they ate yummy cookies and cream ice cream and then watched a movie.  Ginny fell asleep during the movie, but when it was over a little after 11pm, Olivia and Laura Lynn started playing dress up.  Well, Laura Lynn was being dressed up by Olivia.  Katie and Eli and Ginny were all fast asleep and at 1am, the oldest and youngest children in the house were going full steam.  (Laura Lynn had taken a nap before we went swimming.)  We finally turned all of the lights out and they went right to sleep.

Saturday morning, we got up, ate breakfast, and headed to the art class.  Katie had chosen to paint an owl and Olivia had chosen to paint a sea turtle.  They were very excited.  I snapped a few pictures before I left to run an errand.

When I returned an hour late, they were pretty much done.

I think they enjoyed their painting time.

We then headed to Aldi's for a few things and back home to prepare for the next party....

We really enjoyed having Olivia in our home and can't wait to do it again!
