Eli had his awards ceremony the last Wednesday of the school year. He came in just a grinning.
He was called up for the Principal's Honor Roll which is all A's for the whole year. We were so proud of his hard work and awesome grades!
He was also recognized for being in the Recycling Club. After the awards program, we went back to his class where we presented his amazing teacher, Mrs. Garifalon, with an A to Z basket from the class. About 2/3 of the children participated and everyone that participated brought 1 or 2 items that went along with a letter from the alphabet. The goal was to have something for each letter of the alphabet. She loved it! She got things like "O is for Olive Garden gift certificate", "E is for embellished clipboard", "Z is for Zennias (seeds and a painting by one of the little girls in the class)", "Q is for Quarters (a roll of quarters)", and "T is for theater tickets". I think she was very happy, but the children loved helping her go through it and seeing everything that she got. We were so blessed to have her as Eli's second grade teacher! She was so amazing with him. We'll miss her greatly, but maybe in another year she can have Katie. ; )

I love that A-Z basket! Did some people do two letters? Did you assign it out to parents or did they volunteer? So dang adorable!
