1-11-11 Snow Day 2

1-11-11. Day 2 of no school. We were fortunate to have Jamie home from work today. The girls stayed in the house until after lunch. Eli ventured out pretty early. I found him outside "skating". He had the perfect spot--Mama and Daddy's driveway was covered in ice. He seemed to be having lots of fun.

Daddy had gone driving around and when he returned, he found an old sled for Eli to play with. Unfortunately it didn't work that great.
But then, we remembered that Bill had left the tubes from the day before in the garage. So, Eli got one of those and was able to slide for awhile.
Eli and Jamie went on adventure. Jamie said they walked all the way down to Joey's house and then after visiting and sledding with them, they walked back home. Katie had been over at Mama and Daddy's and had been playing outside some. Daddy pulled her behind the golf cart on a sled and she had fun until she fell off and scratched her face. She then just hung out inside with Grandma until Logan came over. Logan came over and Ginny, Katie, and Logan played outside awhile. Before long, Joey, Andrea, Jamie, and I were all outside and Bill and his kids were on the four wheelers. Eli went riding with them and the girls started sledding down the hill in between our house and Mama and Daddy's house. Joey and Jamie got to sledding with them. When Bill brought Eli back, all of them started having fun on the tubes and disk.
Bill slid down and almost took out Eli. We kept wondering who was going to knock the snowman down and when it would happen. Bill was the one that took him down. I was lucky and got it on video. It was really funny.
Wyatt seemed to have fun too.
They had some races to see who the fastest sledder was.
Ginny came back outside. She had been hanging out with Grandma, but she saw all the fun and came on out.
I just love the looks on their faces as they are coming down the hill.

I think Joey had a blast too. I didn't get a picture of Jamie because I was video taping everything when he was coming down, but the adults had just as much fun as the children.
I love Ginny's face here!
Overall, we had a really fun second day of our snow days. We're out of school again tomorrow, so we'll see what fun can be had on day 3.
