Katie turns 5!!!

I can't believe that Katie is 5! It just seems like yesterday that we were in the hospital, Jamie on crutches from his achilles tendon surgery, and our little precious girl was born. I remember sitting in my hospital room crocheting a pillow from my teach yourself to crochet book. Now, here I am with 4 children and I definitely have no time to crochet anymore. Maybe one day I'll pick up my craft again and teach it to my girls.

Anyways, we had Katie a birthday party the Saturday before her birthday. She wanted a Taylor Swift/Justin Bieber party, which meant "Rock Star." We invited all of her cousins and a few friends from school and church. The weather was Perfect! We let the kids play outside.
They played on the trampoline.

They sang on the karaoke machine.
We also had some crafts that they could make.

I ordered edible images for her cake and used pictures from each year of her life.

Katie wanted lots of stars all over it.

Katie received many wonderful presents. She had so much fun opening them and it took us days to open them up and play with them. We didn't want to get overwhelmed with everything at once, so each day we chose a couple to take out of the boxes and play with. Thanks for everyone who was able to come. I think Katie had a great day and she has already started planning for the next 2 years worth of parties.
