Laura Lynn is 2 weeks old

Laura Lynn had her 2 week check up today. She has still not gotten back to her birth weight of 7 lbs. 11 oz. She was only 7 lbs. 5 oz. today. She is in the 25th % for weight and the 60th % for height. It's hard to believe that she's 2 weeks old already. Time has flown by for us these last 2 weeks. She has been such a blessing in our family. The kids want to constantly kiss her and hold her. I have to be very careful of leaving the room because Ginny has picked her up and carried her in to me. The first time she did this, I was in the kitchen talking to Jamie. I looked up and she was carrying her into me. I very calmly said to her, "Oh, thank you, sweetheart." I quickly got to her and took the baby and then in a very calm, loving voice I explained to her that we don't carry the baby. Only mommy and daddy can do that. I just figured if I had yelled out at her she might have thrown the baby down on the ground.
I remember when Katie was a newborn and I found Eli carrying her to me. I guess it's something they all want to do. They want to comfort the crying baby and carry them just like they see mommy and daddy doing. I can't punish her for that--I just have to keep reminding her that she doesn't carry the baby. : )
Below are some pictures of her first 2 weeks at home.

She is precious Shannon. I love these pictures, love this sweet stage--everything about it!!

Cute story about Ginnie! It's funny and it isn't:-).

I hope you are all doing well and you aren't walking through each day in a newborn/sleep deprived coma:-).

Those are cute pictures - we have the same "problems" around here - lots of hugging and kissing and some unauthorized picking up! At least the twins haven't picked her up...they just try to adjust her on their lap and roll her off onto the floor. (Alee and Laura Lynn will grow up tough, right?) :)
