Blythewood Parade

This past Sunday was the Blythewood Parade. It was a rainy, dreary day, but the parade went on. Joey drove his Army Ambulance followed by Bill pulling Papa in the Grits Shack. All the grandkids were gonna ride with Papa, but since the weather was nasty, not all of them rode with him.
Logan and Ginny sat in the van with me and waved and grinned at many floats.

Eli and Will rode with Papa in the grits shack and passed out candy. Wyatt and Hannah walked behind them throwing candy.

Bill had some strange get up on to pull the grits shack. He claims he was the most photographed at the parade. : )

Joey drove his ambulance with Katie. She had a good time with her uncle and got to throw out some candy too.

And of course, Santa was at the end of the parade riding the mule. This Santa happens to be our neighbor down the road. It is a tradition for him to ride at the end of the parade on his mule. If I recall, his wife started the Blythewood parade many years back.
