Dinosaurs

This week was Dinosaur week in "Eli's preschool." We studied the letter B and the number 2 and read lots and lots of books about dinosaurs. We also did a lot of activities with dinosaurs. On the refrigerator is Eli's work. We have a "B" with objects that start with B that he glued onto. We also have a B is for Boat paper that he colored. We have some dinosaurs that he fingerpainted. We also have some colorful dinosaurs that he did collages with on Thursday. If you look closely, you can see the outline of the dinosaur that he glued paper to. I tried to cut out the dinosaur after he collaged it so that you could make it out. We had lots of fun.
Katie's new thing is sticking out her tongue. She is so funny to watch. I tried to get a picture so that everyone could enjoy her new look. She has started taking more and more steps. She can make it across the room now before falling or before getting to her next stop. She even changed direction today before she fell. She's so fun to watch grow and develop.
Other than school, we just had an ordinary week. This next week we will be studying Bears, so maybe it will involve a field trip to the zoo to see Eli's favorite exhibit--the Brown bears. Speaking of bears, Jamie's mom and sister saw a big black bear on their way to Columbia the other night. It was pretty late, maybe that's why it was out, but it was running on 2 legs along the road and looked pretty fierce. They both agreed that they were glad the other was in the car just so that knew they weren't imagining it. Pretty crazy having a big black bear right outside of Columbia. Who would've known it.

I am so impressed Shannon - you are a great teacher! I need to get on the ball - I can use your blog as my inspiration. :)
