For New Year's, we went to Edisto Beach with Jamie's family. We had a great time. Our view was awesome!! We were at the end of the island and overlooked the sound (that's the technical term for the body of water we were by : ) ) The dolphins would come within 10 - 20 yards of the edge of the water and it was so fun watching them. One time one of them was splashing the water with his tail. They are such amazing creatures. The kids loved playing with their cousins and walking on the beach. Eli loved riding his bike down the walkway to the beach and revving his engine (his handlebar has a revving thing on it). We enjoyed great food--Nana made vegetable soup, Uncle Charlie grilled a delicious rib-eye, I made a better than you know what cake, and many other goodies. We were able to ring in the new year watching the ball fall and Jamie was able to watch as much football as he could possibly handle.
On the way home, we drove into Charleston and ate at the Old Towne Restaurant and walked around the battery. I decided then and there that on mine and Jamie's next anniversary, we are going to have a romantic weekend in Charleston. I can't wait to walk around the battery, rainbow row, and King Street with my sweetheart. It will be awesome! Charleston is such a neat city.

You just have the most beautiful family. It looks like y'all had a great time. And FYI-to keep the bubbles under control add a little lotion or conditioner to the water and it should tame them.
Great photos - I LOVE the one of Ginny on the bench!! Needs a frame for sure! Happy New Year!
So fun!! It looks like you guys had a great time! I bet the dolphins were incredible to watch. Great family memories!
First, your kids are so darn cute! Second, I think everyone that has once lived in SC has a picture of the kids on the canon! I know we have one...
Looks fun! I love Charleston & Edisto!! What's the ol saying..."you don't know what you got til it's gone'...that's how I feel sometimes when I see pictures from home :) Looks like the weather was pretty nice, too. Hey, I love the cake!!!
