Katie's Playhouse

I asked Daddy to make Katie a playhouse last Christmas but there just wasn't the time. Now that he has his own sawmill and has cut some lumber, I asked again. I also told him that we needed it for her birthday party coming up in 2 weeks. So, he has been drying his lumber out and this week he started working on it. It is going to be 8 ft x 8 ft on the inside with a 4 ft x 8 ft porch across the front. It has a cute linoleum floor and has 3 windows. It will have a little swing on the front porch. Below are the first day's work and then a couple of days later after they had framed it and got the roof on.

Mama has been asking him for something like this since Hannah was 2 or 3 and now Hannah is 8. I guess she didn't bug him enough. Of course, not only have I bugged him to death about it, I had Katie make him a card with a picture on it months ago and she asked Papa with her cute little smile. I think that is what really did him in. Everyone will be able to use it when they come over to our houses. It will be right in between my house and Mama and Daddy's.
