Halloween
(Roll your mouse over each picture for a caption.)
We have had such a fun Halloween this year! We started celebrating on Saturday. We had our ward Halloween Trunk-or-Treat party at my Uncle Richard's house. The kids got to dress up and we enjoyed a great meal of hot dogs and sloppy joes. There were a ton of desserts to choose from. The kids enjoyed some games that the primary had set up. Eli's favorite game was the pumpkin patch game. He loaded pumpkins in a wagon and hauled them in. He also enjoyed riding and pulling people in the wagon. They had a costume contest and Eli won a prize. He won the "Most Original" costume. I was very proud of him. He was a little frightened to go into the circle to receive his award, but I went with him to make it less scary. He was a scarecrow and Katie was a pumpkin. She was rather cute in her outfit toddling around the party.
Monday we went over to my parents for a Halloween party. They had fixed up a fishing booth and a beanbag toss game. (Well, she recycled the ladybug from Katie's birthday party and made a game with it.) They had a fire going for us to roast hot dogs and marshmallows. Bill pulled everyone on a hayride with the tractor. I guess it was Eli and Katie's first hayride. They seemed to enjoy it. We had apples with caramel dipping sauce too. They had invited some of the children of the family and some of the neighbors. It was a fun time.
On Halloween night, we had a good time too! We started out trick-or-treating at Papa's. We left there and went to Mrs. Willie Mae's house. She was very happy to see the kids. We then went to Erma Rauch's house. I used to work with her and she always has such a fun display of Halloween things for all to see. We enjoy going there every year and the kids really liked it this year. On our way home, Jamie called and so we headed to Home Depot to visit him. We finally headed to the grocery store and then on home. Now if I could just get Eli to bed. Happy Halloween!

What a cute slide show!
I was a little bummed that the kids didn't trick or treat at my house! I had my candy bowl ready when I realized y'all had brought Wyatt home.
Maybe next year.
Sorry we didn't get out. I only took them 2 places. It was no fun getting in and out of the car with them both and those carseats. : )Maybe Jamie will be off next year and we'll definately go to more places.
