Balloons, Blues, and BBQ

Tonight we went to the Balloons, Blues, and BBQ event in town. We got there around 5:45 in hopes of riding the tethered hot air balloons, but were sadly told that it was too windy for them. We walked around to see what all was going on. Katie has "Bethel" the class bunny for the weekend. So, he went around with us too. I think Laura Lynn enjoyed him the most! They rode around together.
Ginny and Katie wanted to get their faces painted.

There were a few craft booths and some food booths. We ate popcorn, nachos and cheese, cotton candy, and a freshly made apple fritter.

They started to blow up one of the balloons. We happened to be right there as they unrolled it and started the process of getting it standing up. It was really neat to see. I have never seen a hot air balloon so close.

They were only able to keep the balloon up a minute or two because of the wind. They never even got it off of the ground. It was still pretty cool to look at.

We walked around a little more and enjoyed the "Blues" music that was playing on the live stage. Some really nice people gave us about $14 worth of tickets, so Eli decided to get his face painted too.
Aren't those cute little dimples!!!
He wanted to be a vampire. So, they made him up and even gave him the vampire fangs. It looked great!
We left the festival and have just enjoyed watching the Smurfs the rest of the evening.
