Halloween

We had a fun Halloween weekend. It started out on Thursday for Ginny and Laura Lynn. They were able to go trick or treating at school and dress up. Ginny was Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and Laura Lynn was a pumpkin.
On Friday, Katie got to dress up at school, but not for Halloween. She dressed up for Farm/City Day at school. She was a farmer. That evening we went to the festival in Blythewood.
On Saturday morning, I took the girls to a birthday party. It was a Mad Science party. The girls had fun watching the "Mad Scientist" perform some fun science experiments. At the end they were even able to make their own cotton candy and slime.

That evening, we went to our church trunk or treat social at my Uncle Richard's house. It is such a fun event every year. We had grilled hot dogs, sloppy joes, cole slaw, pasta salad, chips, desserts, funnel cakes, and snow cones. YUMMY! The kids had fun dressing up and playing with their friends. Katie was a cheerleader. Eli was a ninja. Ginny was Sleeping Beauty. Laura Lynn was a ladybug. They got tons of candy!

Katie had their class stuffed animal for the weekend. She put "Bethel" the bunny in her babydoll stroller and took her around trick or treating also. She even dressed her up like a fairy.

On Halloween day, Ginny and Laura Lynn got to have a big party at school. They trick or treated to all of the classrooms and even got to play a few carnival games in the gym. When we got home, we took it easy. We got dressed up and went to two houses--Miss Willie's and Erma's. It's our tradition to visit these two houses each year. Katie was a pirate. Eli was a ghost. Ginny and Laura Lynn were both ladybugs. When we got home, we cooked some hot dogs over the fire and had s'mores with Grandma and Papa. It was a fun evening!
