The final part of our Florida vacation

Here are the highlights of our return trip from Florida.
We went to Downtown Disney hoping to see all of the cool Lego creations that my friends had told me about at Lego Land. However, Lego Land was closed for some remodeling and we couldn't see everything. We did see the cool dragon in the lake that was made entirely of Legos. It was so detailed! We did walk down to the temporary site of Lego Land and were able to see one more creation.

There were different figures along the walk at Downtown Disney. The kids enjoyed posing for pictures at each one. We took pictures in front of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique with Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. We posed with Mr. Potato Head and Buzz Light Year. We also posed with the Pirates of Carribean Ghost Pirates.

On Monday we started our trek back to South Carolina. We drove to Daytona Beach and drove out on the beach. I had never been to a beach where you could drive right out on the sand. We parked and let the kids play in the sand for a few minutes.

After we left the beach, we headed to Jacksonville to tour the Peterbrook Chocolate Factory. Of course we bought some yummy chocolate before heading on.
We drove all the way to Barnwell, SC and spent the night with Nana. Tuesday morning, we woke up and headed back to Columbia. We stopped off at the South Carolina State Museum and used our membership I got with Groupon to visit. It was really cool! In all the years it has been in Columbia, I've never taken the opportunity to go. I was very impressed with the cool displays. It was too much to do in 2 hours, so we will definitely be heading back soon to view the rest.

We left the museum and headed back home so that we could see that sweet little Laura Lynn that we missed so much! She came across the front yard to us when she saw that we were unloading the van. It felt so great holding her and squeezing that sweet little baby!
It was a very fun trip and we enjoyed every minute of it!
