Our Happenings

Since returning from the beach, we've had some illness at the Benson home. Katie and Ginny went to the doctor the day after we came home and they were prescribed some antibiotics for Sinus and Ear infections. Their cough was pretty bad too, so he gave them some strong cough medicine. I have had a cough since then, but just stuck to cold pills and cough syrup. Finally, this weekend, a sinus infection hit me. I had a check-up with my doctor this afternoon, so I just waited it out and he prescribed me a Z-pac. Hopefully, it will take effect soon. I have not slept good in at least 3 nights. I would love for my cough to go away also. The girls seem to be doing well.
We attended our new ward for the first time yesterday. We are now in the Ridgeway ward. I was made the 2nd counselor in Relief Society. The boundaries were changed 2 weeks ago and they moved us back to Ridgeway, but since we were at the beach last Sunday, this was our first Sunday to attend. Poor Ginny went from a nursery of 30 kids to one with just 4. Katie and Emery are the only ones in their class. We'll adjust.
Katie has learned how to swim without her swimmies. She struggles when swimming on the top of the water, but if she puts that head down in the water, she can zoom. I still have to be right there with her, to give her confidence and to give me peace of mind.
Eli found out that he is in Mrs. Dyson's Kindergarten class. We are very happy to have her as a teacher. Her assistant is a wonderful lady as well. I know that he will do very good this year. He can't wait to start school on the 20th. We also signed up for Fall ball (baseball). He will be playing up in the Coaches Pitch division. He was ready to be done with t-ball and we got permission for him to go up a year early. He'll now get to have a real position on the field and have the possibility of striking out. He'll definately grow in baseball over the next few months.
My check-up went fine today. The baby's heart was strong. The next appointment I get to drink the very sweet drink and have my blood drawn to check for gestational diabetes. I can't believe I'm 23 weeks pregnant. Our little girl, who we have not a clue what we are going to call her, will be here before we know it.
These are just some random pictures of the kids.
