CVS Bargains

I have been trying to use southernsavers.com as a guide in saving some money and in using coupons more efficiently. I have been really looking at the CVS ads each week since they give you money back to spend on more items. Almost 2 weeks ago, I had to have a prescription filled. I had just gone to CVS the weekend before while at the beach and got a coupon at the bottom of my receipt that said free $25 gift card for a new prescription or transfer. So, off to CVS I go with my prescription in hand. Sure enough, I got my $25 gift card. This week, I cashed it in. I was able to purchase all of the below items using that gift card plus $3.54 out of pocket money. At the end of my transactions (I had to break it up into 2 transactions so that I could get all of my Extra Value Bucks utilized properly), I still had $8 in Extra Value Bucks to spend next visit. Awesome!

Items purchased (with only $3.54)

2 bottles of conditioner

1 bottle of shampoo

1 box of hair coloring

2 tubes of toothpaste

1 container of Wet Ones

1 tube of Desitin

2 packs of notebook paper

2 packs of ink pens

2 pencil boxes
