Eating Corn and Grins

We sure have enjoyed having fresh vegetables ready in Daddy's garden. Monday we had supper with the missionaries. So I went and picked some fresh blueberries and some corn from the garden. The blueberry/peach pie turned out heavenly. Jamie said it was the best pie he had ever eaten. I wouldn't have thought to combine those fruits, but it sure was good. As you can see Katie sure enjoyed that fresh sweet corn from the garden. I laughed at her because she was so excited to be eating corn. She is actually eating Eli's piece. He decided he didn't want it, so I gave it to Katie. She also ate some crowder peas that Jamie had picked and cooked that morning before he went to work.
Katie has this new grin. She squinches up her nose and smiles at you. I decided I needed to try and get a picture of it. Of course Eli wouldn't have me take a picture without him being in it, so I have my two babies grinning up at me.
This week was kind of non-happening. I tutored each day for this little girl and so Eli and Katie got to play with Grandma and Hannah one day and with Brian and Aunt Yadira two days. Jamie was able to watch them the rest of the times. Katie has been running a little fever on and off and we think it is related to teething since she has wet spots in her crib where she's drooled so much in her sleep. She sure is growing up. Eli is of course way past his age since he's already sassing me by saying the following expressions: "No Fair!", "Oh, man!", and "Okay!"(slight expression on the kay part of that word.)
Tonight I put Katie to bed and gave Eli his shower. When he got out I put the towel around his hair and he thought he was cool. He even posed for the camera. What a ham!
