Mama and Daddy's 50th Anniversary Party

On August 30th, Mama and Daddy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.  (Jamie and I celebrated our 11th.)  On August 31, 2013, we had a big party at the Doko Manor in Blythewood to celebrate their anniversary.  I pretty much handed my camera to Sister Meier, and she took lots of pictures.  Here are some of my favorites that help us remember what a fun night it was!  We had makings for sandwiches (ham, turkey, and cheeses), chicken salad sandwiches, fruit, vegetables, mints, chips, dips, and lots of different cakes.
My crew all got new dresses from Grandma to wear to her special party.  Eli even dressed a little nicer.  : )
My aunt and uncle from Hurricane, Utah came all the way out for the celebration.  My uncle, Rick, is an amazing wood craftsman and created this for them.  It said, "Joe and Martha, Love is Spoken Here 50th".
Laura Lynn and my dad's sister, Aunt Dootie (Her real name is Betty.)
Eli with my great uncle Odelle Loveland.  He and his wife, Aunt Estelle had come out from Enoch, Utah for the celebration.  (I'm glad I have this picture and got to see him because he passed away just 4 months later. )

Glad I found this picture.  This is Sister Faye Titus on the left.  She passed away a week ago yesterday (May 23, 2014).  Sweet lady who I've known my whole life.

Jennifer was in the kitchen a lot of the night along with her mom, Dian Graves and my Aunt Minnie.  We all tried to keep the tables full so that Mama could relax.

Success!  It was a great night!  Fun was had by all and we were able to celebrate with so many people that were instrumental in mama and daddy's life.  There were high school friends, lots of family, and many church friends!  Much thanks to everyone who helped and took part!
Congratulations on 50 years!
