Katie turns 8

I can't believe that Katie turned 8 this year!  We had a great photo shoot in her baptism dress.

Katie had her birthday party at an art studio.  They were able to make a clay cupcake bank.  It was a fun party!

All of the girls enjoyed pizza and cupcakes on One Direction napkins and plates.

Katie was able to be baptized on my birthday, September 29th.  She was baptized by her daddy.  Eli spoke about baptism and Jamie spoke about the Holy Ghost.  Abby Branham played the piano and Andrea led the music.  Bill conducted the baptism.  Grandma said the opening prayer and Shayleen Sammons who had been Katie's primary teacher up until a few weeks before said the closing prayer.  We were so blessed to have so many of our family members able to come and also have a lot of our church friends stay afterwards for the baptism.  We had it right after church.

After the baptism we all went back to the "Man Cave" and had a huge family dinner and birthday celebration for Katie.  We ate barbeque and the fixins'.  It was so nice to have our family with us on this special day!

We are so proud of Katie for making the decision to be baptized!  We love her and are so grateful that she is a part of our family!
