July brought Drama Camp for Eli. This was his second year participating in the camp. It is held in Barnwell, SC at the Circle Theater every summer. He goes down and stays with Nana for the week and then we come down at the end of the week to watch his performance. This summer they did "The Music Man." I'll admit, I had never watched it before this week. I rented the video from the library so that I could see what it was about, but ended up not watching the original production until after Eli's production.
He was a towns person and a boy in the "boy band." He did a great job and we are very proud of him. He loves it on the stage--he's quite the natural.
Our niece, Olivia, was also in the play. She did an amazing job as well. It amazes me how quick they learn the songs. He still sings the songs to us on demand.
The girls loved watching his performance! They can't wait until they are old enough to attend also.
