Proud Mama

Today, Eli got to bring his teddy bear to school for a tea party. Back when my nephew was in Kindergarten, they had a tea party and served iced tea to the children. When I got the note home this week that it was to be held today, I thought, " I need to remind Eli not to drink the tea and to ask for water." Well, with all the chaos in the house--Jamie having the flu, Ginny and Eli both throwing up at some point in the week--I forgot to remind him. So, I got a call from Eli's teacher about 11:30am today and she was wondering if Eli could have tea. I told her that no, we do not drink tea so Eli could just have water. She then told me that Eli had told her that he was not supposed to drink tea. He told her that in our church we do not drink tea. What a great future missionary! I was so proud of him for remembering the things that we have taught him about the word of wisdom and for him not drinking the tea.

On a side note, he told me when he got home that he had given "Panyo" a tour of his classroom. I assumed he meant a new student and I said, "Who?" He said, "You know, Panyo, my teddy bear." His teddy bear's name is "Teddy" but he said that when he got to school, someone else had a bear named Teddy so he renamed his. Isn't that hilarious? And where did he come up with the name. Jamie said we should make sure it isn't some dirty word in another language. : )

Good for Eli!
That is funny...and creative to come up with a new name that fast. My kids just use family names for everything...it's like they're the only names that exist.

Cute name:-)!

Way to go Eli too for standing up for what is right.

Yep, those are definitely proud moments worth remembering.

I hope Laura Lynn doesn't get sick and you are all well by now.

We have had sickness running through our home for going on 3 weeks now. It made it's way to Jesse day before yesterday. Hope we are all well soon, and y'all are too!
