Katie's 4th birthday

We celebrated Katie's 4th birthday today. It was a misty morning, but we still had lots of fun. We played outside and colored some Dora pictures.

Papa gave a few golfcart rides. I thought this picture was hilarious. He was trying to cry like Cal was doing and I caught him just at the right moment.

About 45 minutes into the party, it started misting, so we brought all of the presents inside. The kids still wanted to be outside, so most of them went out and picked some grapes. They also played and tumbled around in the grass.

When we came inside, we had hot dogs and chips. Then we sang to the birthday girl. She wanted a Dora cake, so she got it. She had changed into her "Tinkerbell" outfit for this portion of the party. : )
After cake and ice cream, she enjoyed opening her presents from everyone. We are so grateful for everyone that was able to come. She really had a good day. Her only complaint was that the party wasn't long enough. I thought a 2 hour party was plenty long, but not for her. She told me right before she went to bed tonight that she sure enjoyed her party and loved all of her presents.

She ended the afternoon by going to a friend's baptism and eating supper at La Brasca Pizza with Grandma and Papa. We had a great day!
