Happy 5th Birthday Eli

I can't believe my little boy is 5 years old. It just seems like yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital. Who knew how much our lives would change that day. Here are just 5 random things I love abut Eli (there are really so many more, but since he's 5, I'll only list 5).

• I love that he loves to cuddle each morning with us in bed--I've finally convinced him to wait until the sun comes up.
• I love how he plays with Ginny and gets her just a cackling with laughter.
• I love how he prays when he is frightened and has such faith in the Lord.
• I love that he told me the other day that since I've always taken care of him, it was his turn to take care of me and protect me.
• I love that he is such a big help--at times--around the house. I can really count on him when I am rushing to straighten up the living room and he is doing great keeping his room clean.

We are so blessed to have Eli in our lives. He is a great challenge at times, but we wouldn't trade him for anything.

His birthday was on December 1st and we had his party the following Saturday, December 6th. We had a Superman cake and he invited all of his friends from school as well as cousins and a few other close friends. Fun was had by all--Papa took everyone of golf cart rides. Thanks for everyone that helped make his day fun.
