Summer's Over

I can't believe that summer vacation is over. Of course, since I work year round I don't have a summer off, but it's hard to believe that all the kids are going back to school. My adventure has already begun with Eli in my preschool class. He has good days and then there are some bad days. Hopefully the good days are going to outweigh the bad days. He seems to be learning a lot. It will be very interesting for me to see how far I can push him this year to get ready for Kindergarten. I look forward to seeing how he will compare with my other students.

Katie and Ginny are doing great in school also. Katie loves playing with her friends and doing art projects with her teachers. We are very lucky that she loves her teachers and loves going to school each day. Ginny is the hit of her infant room class. She crawls all around and visits with everyone. She always has a smile on her face and loves to wave "bye bye" and say "bye." I think it lights up everyone's day to have her wave and smile at them.

We've been hanging out the last month or so. We haven't gone anywhere since our July 4th trip to the mountains. Jamie's been working a lot and the kids and I have been enjoying the pool and the cooler weather in the late afternoons. It's still muggy, but at least our 100 degree weather is over for a while.

I read the Twilight series this summer and LOVED them. I can't wait for the movie to come out this December. I was able to go to a party on the night that the 4th book came out. We had a blast and yes I was at the bookstore at midnight. I've never done anything like that, but it sure was fun. Thanks to my friend, Angel, for inviting me over. If you want to see pictures, just look at Ashley, Ginger, or the Hatch family blog. They brought their cameras to the exciting event.

I'll post pictures soon and tell more about our recent month.
