Maggie Valley

The kids and I went with my parents to Maggie Valley this past week for a couple of days. There was still a little bit of snow in their yard. It was very cold! The kids were able to go tubing across from Ghosttown in Sky. The first day we took them, I took them both up at the same time. It was very chaotic because I was trying not to slip on the snow while trying to get them on their tubes. So, the next day we took them, I took them one at a time. While Eli tubed, Katie waited in the car with my dad and then when Eli got tired, I went and got Katie and let her have her turn. They both had a great time. Katie did not want to leave the 2nd day, but I was tired of going up and down the hill to help them. I needed a break. Ideally, it would have worked better to have 2 adults with the young kids, but unfortunately Jamie had to work and couldn't come with us. Maybe next time.
Katie made me laugh because she insisted on laying on the tube to come down. I tried to tell her to sit with her hinny in the tube's hole, but she laid down instead. The picture of Eli makes me laugh because he has that mouth open wide.
