Happy Birthday Eli

Eli turned 7 on December 1st! I can't believe my baby is 7 years old! The last 7 years have flown by. Eli is an amazing little boy! He's full of energy and has so much personality.
On his birthday, I took him some cupcakes to his class at lunchtime. I even brought him some Wendy's for lunch. The girls had their checkups that afternoon, so after their doctor's appointments, we met Jamie at CiCi's and had supper for Eli's birthday. We have not had a party yet--and he keeps reminding me. But, hopefully once Christmas is over and things settle down a bit, we'll invite a few of his friends over and go do something fun with them.
I love my Eli! There is never a dull moment with him around. Just this past week he shared with me that he was in love. He told me it was a little Pre-K girl that he's seen in the hall at school. I asked him her name and he said, "I don't know her name, but she has googly eyes and she's brown." After counseling with him about being too young to really be in love he said, "I just feel like I have to be in love. " Again--never a dull moment!
He is a big helper when it comes to his little sisters. He's very quick to find the baby around the house when she sneaks out of the room. He loves holding her and playing with her. He loves being outside and is very quick to go outside as soon as his homework is done each day. He loves to smooch his lips out for a kiss and loves spending time with his cousins and grandparents. He's looking forward to next year when he turns 8 and will be baptized. (Will I really have a child to baptized in 2011?) Wow!
