Memorial Day

We had a really nice Memorial Day. Even though the weather didn't cooperate with us for most of the day, we still had fun. We had a yummy meal with my family. Daddy had grilled some turkey, chicken, and a little pork. It was very yummy! After lunch when all of the kids were ready to go get in the pool for the first time of the year, the bottom let out. There was thunder and all. So, they had to make do playing inside for a while longer. They started a puzzle, watched tv, and stared out of the window a lot. Finally, it stopped thundering and it was just a little drizzle so they all decided to hop in. It even stopped raining completely after a few minutes. They really had a great time.

Of course, we followed Trapp swimming tradition and cut a watermelon while swimming. The kids loved it--can't you tell?
