The last 2 weeks

We have had a busy couple of weeks. I tried to update last weekend, but my computer would not add the pictures. This weekend I had so many that I had to do a slide show of them.

Let's see if I can remember what we've been up to. A week and a half ago, we had a little bit of snow fall here. The kids loved sitting on the bed and watching it out of the window. Unfortunately, before I could get everyone dressed to go and take pictures, it ended so we have none. Grandma Fannie came over one afternoon and Eli had to show her his new rain boots and his rain coat. Katie had to get out her boots too and show them off. They both crack me up to see them wearing their boots in the house with no rain in sight. But, it makes them happy.

Katie has gotten to where she loves to lay down in the tub and kick her feet. I guess she's practicing for swimming this summer. One night she and Eli made lots of bubbles and had lots of fun playing in them. They had beards of bubbles and had them all in their hair. It was too cute. Last Saturday night, Logan, Abby, and Haley came over while the adults were at church. I gave Logan a bath along with Katie. I styled their hair when I had shampoo in it. Of course Eli saw it so he had to have his hair done when it was his turn in the tub. Every night since them he has asked me to fix his hair.

We are still not in our new home. We did fire the guy who was working on it. He never worked a full day and he left whenever he wanted and didn't tell anyone when he'd be back, so he's out of the running now. We have another guy coming tomorrow to finish it and then hopefully by the middle of the week, we'll have electricity. We'll keep our fingers crossed.

Jennifer asked me on Friday to go to the Rascal Flatts concert with her. Bill had decided he didn't want to go. So I got to take his place. I had a blast! I love Rascal Flatts. I saw them in concert at the fair when I was pregnant with Eli. They're awesome! Thanks Jennifer for inviting me and thanks to my parents for letting the kids spend the night! I had fun taking pictures even though we weren't real close. I think most of them turned out pretty good. At one point, part of their stage was lifted in the air and they rode it down to the other end of the Colonial Center where they performed a few songs then hopped back on and rode it back to the main stage. It was pretty cool! Jason Aldean also performed at the beginning of the show. He was pretty good, but nothing compared to Rascal Flatts!

Yesterday we went to Spencer Wood's 3rd birthday party. They had a Cars theme so Ginger had fixed a racing track for them outside. The kids had a blast riding the little cars to the finish line. Eli also had fun climbing in the Dinkins' tree out front. Everyone needs a good climbing tree. We had a great time visiting with everyone!

Well, that sounds like the high points for the last 2 weeks. Maybe this week will bring more fun things to write about if we can start getting moved into our new home. : )

It's good to know how you and the kids, along with Bill and his family, are doing. Aren't you still married? Who is your husband and how is he? Enquiring minds want to know...hmmmmm?

Hopefully things will work out with your house quickly. Did you get that package yet?
