Church Christmas Party

Friday night we had a great church Christmas party. I was actually able to get Eli and Katie to sit still long enough for me to take a picture and have it made into Christmas cards. Before we left for the party, Eli and Katie were playing train together. Katie was tagging along with Eli is really what was happening. Eli thought that to be the engine he needed a basket on his head. Go figure. : )

The party was set up with all your favorite holiday finger foods and desserts. It was very yummy! They had "The Polar Express" on in one room for the kids to watch. They also had games set up for the older kids who were too cool to watch the movie but didn't want to be in there with all of the adults. There was music and dancing for all who wanted to participate. Eli and Katie both enjoyed dancing a lot! Katie was so funny just bouncing in front of one of the trees. Everyone wanted to pick her up, but she really just wanted to dance.

And of course, what is a "Christmas Party" without a Santa. Jamie was dressed as Santa and had a blast handing out goodies. He said that some of the kids were impressed with Santa because he knew their names when they sat down. It is nice to have a Santa who knows the boys and girls. He said that he promised them anything they asked for. I hope there won't be any sad ones on Christmas morning telling their parents that Santa promised them that pony.

Gramdma Fannie and Miss Willie had to have their pictures made with Santa too. I would love to have had Eli and Katie's picture of them and Santa, but they both cried uncontrollably at the thought of sitting on Santa's lap. Even in the changing room when Eli saw Jamie with no beard, he wouldn't get too close. Oh well, hopefully they'll be out of that phase soon.
