April and May 2013

The month started out with Eli's 3rd grade program.  He was among about 20 to 30 children who was selected to do the shag on the stage.  The shag is the SC state dance and they had learned it in the 3rd grade during PE.  He was pretty good and he picked himself out a spot on the front of the stage so that I could get a good look.  Unfortunately I  was videoing the dance so I didn't get any still shots.  We were real proud of him.
One afternoon, the kids got out of school early and I took the girls to the strawberry patch.  Eli chose to stay home with Jamie, but the girls had a blast.  The strawberries were delicious!  Laura Lynn ate so many while we were picking.  Good thing they didn't weigh her before and after.   : )

Ginny had her dance recital.  She was beautiful as she danced around.  We were super proud of her dancing skills.

Ginny had 2 amazing teachers:  Ms. Kristi and Ms. Lacey.
Katie took tumbletree cheer this year after school.  Her recital was the day after Ginny's.  She did great with her cheer and dance.  She was a "flyer" in their cheer routine.  She also did great cartwheels.  We were super proud of her too!

Ginny graduated from my pre-school class.  She was lots of fun to teach this year!

Katie received a special award at the award's day program.  Not only did she get her promotion certificate, but she was the only one in the entire school whose art was chosen to be on display in the district office.  Yay!
Eli got straight A's this year and he also earned the most Accelerated Reader points in his class.  Go Eli!
